Paid CAD automation pilot for engineering teams

If your team is trying to automate mechanical CAD with ChatGPT, Claude or coding agents, start with a real engineering case, not a generic AI demo. We offer a fixed-scope paid pilot that tests whether kernelCAD can produce useful, editable CAD artifacts for your workflow.

One-part pilot: EUR 950

The starting price is EUR 950, excluding applicable taxes, for one agreed representative part with requirements that fit kernelCAD's supported modeling and export workflow. Larger assemblies, design-from-images work, manufacturing sourcing and integrations require a separate quote. We confirm the exact scope and invoice before starting.

What the one-part pilot includes:

  1. A short scoping discussion and a written list of parameters, constraints and acceptance checks.
  2. An editable .kcad.ts model with documented parameters and source files.
  3. A recorded geometry evaluation and relevant checks such as dimensions, intersections or printability, where the model and tool support them.
  4. A STEP or STL export and a short handoff note with any known limitations.
  5. One scoped revision based on engineering feedback.

The goal is a reproducible CAD workflow that your team can review and adapt, not just a render. You retain the delivered artifacts. Source or service licensing beyond the deliverables is agreed in the pilot scope.

What we need to quote accurately

Send one representative CAD task and, where available, your target dimensions, reference STEP, drawing or product constraints. Tell us what downstream output you need (STEP, STL, drawing PDF), what your engineer will check, and whether a single component or assembly is required.

We can also scope paid pilots for engineering organizations, CAD software resellers and teams evaluating agent-driven automation across repeatable part families. For those, we agree a custom project fee after reviewing the workflow and acceptance criteria.

Product access

You do not need a paid pilot for self-service modeling. You can connect your own agent for free, open kernelCAD Studio or use the Basic and Pro subscriptions for monthly access to the hosted build agent.

A pilot does not certify the part for production. Structural strength, material compliance, fit to physical stock, detailed manufacturing tolerances and supplier acceptance require separate validation.
